CONCOURS "Dans les pas de l’ambassadrice"

Règlement du concours organisé du 08 mars 2020 au 27 mars 2020.

PREAMBULE
Dans le cadre de la journée internationale des droits des femmes qui aura lieu le 8 mars, un concours « Dans les pas de l’Ambassadrice » est organisé par l’Ambassade de France au Cambodge en partenariat avec l’Ambassade du Royaume-Uni au Cambodge.

Article 1 – CONDITIONS DE PARTICIPATION
Le concours est ouvert aux citoyens cambodgiens âgés de 16 à 30 ans (à la date de participation au concours), ayant une bonne pratique de l’anglais.
La participation à ce concours est gratuite.
La participation au présent concours est individuelle et nominative.

Article 2 –OBJET DU CONCOURS
Le concours a été conçu pour rendre visible le travail d’une ambassadrice ainsi que les défis et les opportunités qu’elles rencontrent au quotidien et plus généralement pour promouvoir l’égalité entre les hommes et les femmes.
Les candidats retenus passeront une journée avec l’Ambassadrice de France au Cambodge (vendredi 27 mars 2020) ou l’Ambassadrice du Royaume-Uni au Cambodge (26 mars après-midi et 27 mars matin 2020).

Article 3 – MODALITÉS DE PARTICIPATION
Pour participer au concours, les candidats devront rédiger une lettre en anglais, au format PDF, expliquant pourquoi ils devraient être sélectionnés.
La lettre devra également précisé :
• le nom et le prénom du participant
• son âge
• son adresse postale
• un numéro de téléphone portable
• une adresse de courriel valide
• l’Ambassadrice avec qui le participant souhaite passer la journée.
1- Une copie de la carte d’identité est également exigée
2- Une attestation du niveau d’anglais (minimum niveau B2) serait appréciée.

Article 4 –CHOIX DES GAGNANTS
La sélection des gagnants reposera sur la motivation des candidats telle qu’exprimée dans leur lettre.

L’Ambassade de France sélectionnera une personne parmi les candidats ayant exprimé leur souhait de passer la journée avec l’Ambassadrice de France.

L’Ambassade du Royaume-Uni sélectionnera une personne parmi les candidats ayant exprimé leur souhait de passer la journée avec l’Ambassadrice du Royaume-Uni.

Article 5 – PARTICIPATION A LA JOURNEE « DANS LES PAS DE L’AMBASSADRICE DE FRANCE AU CAMBODGE »
Le candidat sélectionné par l’Ambassade de France devra se présenter à l’Ambassade de France le vendredi 27 mars 2020, à 08h00.

Le candidat sélectionné par l’Ambassade du Royaume-Uni devra se présenter à l’Ambassade du Royaume-Uni le jeudi 26 mars 2020, à 14h00.

Article 6 – CALENDRIER DU CONCOURS
Ce concours respectera le calendrier suivant :
•08 mars 2020 : Ouverture du concours
• 22 mars 2020 à minuit : Clôture des dépôts de candidature au concours
•24 mars 2020 : Prise de contact avec les lauréats. Les candidats qui n’ont pas été sélectionnés par les Ambassades seront informés que leur candidature n’a pas été retenue.
•27 mars 2020 : Journée « Dans les pas de l’Ambassadrice »

Article 7 – DROITS D’AUTEUR
Les Ambassades de France et du Royaume-Uni au Cambodge sont libres d’utiliser les photographies prises durant la journée comme elles le jugeront utile pour leur action, sans que cette utilisation puisse conférer aux participants un droit à rémunération ou avantage quelconque. Les photographies seront notamment publiées sur la page Facebook des Ambassades.

Article 8 – BILAN DU CONCOURS
Les Ambassades de France et du Royaume-Uni au Cambodge récolteront les témoignages des participants qui seront ensuite utilisés comme elles le jugeront utile pour leur action, sans que cette utilisation puisse conférer aux participants un droit de rémunération ou avantage quelconque.

Article 9 – ACCEPTATION DU REGLEMENT
Le simple fait de participer implique l’acceptation du présent règlement.

Article 10 – ANNULATION ET INTERPRETATION
Les Ambassades de France et du Royaume-Uni se réservent le droit de modifier ou d’interrompre le concours à tout moment, si les circonstances l’exigent et sans justification. Elles se réservent également le droit de trancher souverainement toutes difficultés d’interprétation ou d’application du présent règlement.

Rules of the competition organized from the 8th to the 27th of March 2020.

PREAMBLE

In relation to the International Women’s Day (IWD) celebrated on the 8th of March, a competition called « Ambassador for the day » is organized in partnership by the French embassy in Cambodia and the British Embassy in Cambodia.

Article 1 – CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
The competition is opened to Cambodian citizens from 16 to 30 years old (at the date of the application) having a good practice of English.
The participation to the competition is free.
The application to the competition is personal and nominative.

Article 2 –SUBJECT OF THE COMPETITION
This program is designed to inform the public about the work an Ambassador does, to explain the challenges and opportunities encountered by female Ambassadors, and more generally speaking, to promote gender equality.
The chosen candidates will spend one day with the French Ambassador to Cambodia (Friday 27th of March) or the British Ambassador to Cambodia (26th of March afternoon and 27th of March morning).

Article 3 – TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
In order to apply for the competition, candidates should write a letter in English, in electronic format PDF, explaining why they should be selected for this competition.
This letter should also specify :
• The last name and first name of the candidate
• The age of the candidate
• The postal address of the candidate
• The phone number of the candidate
• The e-mail address of the candidate
• Which Ambassador the candidate would like to spend the day with (British or French Ambassador).
1- A copy of the ID card is also required.
2- A certificate of English level (level B2 minimum) would be appreciated.

If the candidates want to spend the day with the French Ambassador, they should send their application letter and related documents to the following e-mail address presse.afpp@gmail.com before the 22nd of March 2020.

If the candidates want to spend the day with the British Ambassador, they should send their application letter to the following address XXXXX before the 22nd of March 2020.

Article 4 – SELECTION OF THE WINNERS OF THE COMPETITION

The selection of the winners will be done on the basis of the motivation of the candidates as expressed in the application letter.

The French Embassy will select one person among the candidates who expressed interest in spending the day with the French Ambassador.

The British Embassy will select one person among the candidates who expressed interested in spending the day with the British Ambassador.

Article 5 – PARTICIPATION IN THE DAY "AMBASSADOR FOR THE DAY"

The winner for the French Embassy is required to be at the French Embassy at 8:00 am on Friday the 27th of March, 2020.

The winner for the British Embassy is required to be at the British Embassy at 2:00 pm on Thursday, the 26th of March, 2020.

Article 6 – COMPETITION CALENDAR

This competition will respect the following calendar :
• 8 March 2020 : Launch of the competition with a publication on Facebook
• March 22, 2020 at midnight : End of deadline to submit applications
• March 24, 2020 : The winners of the competition will be contacted by each Embassy. The candidates who will not be selected will be informed by each Embassy that their application was not chosen.
• March 26 and 27, 2020 : “Ambassador for the day” day

Article 7 – COPYRIGHT
The French and the British Embassies in Cambodia are free to use the photographs taken during the day as they think useful for their action, without any right to remuneration or any advantage for the participants. The photographs will be published on the Facebook page of the French and the British Embassies.

Article 8 – COMPETITION REPORT
The French and the British Embassies in Cambodia will collect the participants’ testimonies which will be used as it deems useful for their action, without this giving any right of remuneration or advantage.

Article 9 – ACCEPTANCE OF THE RULES
The simple fact of participating implies acceptance of these rules.

Article 10 – CANCELLATION AND INTERPRETATION
The French and the British Embassies reserve the right to modify or interrupt the competition at any time, if circumstances so require and without justification. They also reserve the right to decide sovereignly any difficulties of interpretation or application of these regulations.
